Plan Your Visit
Is this your first time attending such a monumental tech fest? You'll need to craft a thorough plan before going. Remember to bring something unique that represents your company, its values, and what you do. Redtag has prepared essential tips to help you stay comfortable and make the most of your visit to Dreamforce.
- Prepare some eye-catching merchandise and pack it in your backpack. Make sure you have enough room in there for your personal belongings, as well as food, snacks, and water.
- Make sure AppExchange represents your company well.
- Don't try to negotiate or make deals right away. Focus on growing your contact base and pitch offers later. People come there to have fun first, so you can too.
- It will be an intense experience filled with buzz, long walks, queues, and conversations, all while you're on your feet the entire time. Wear your comfy shoes and clothes so you can walk all day and stay productive.
- Bring a power bank, as you'll likely be posting many stories and sharing photos and videos to give everyone a firsthand look at what's happening.
- Plan your sessions ahead of time and be aware of the schedule.
- Arrive early for the main sessions (keynotes), as there can be long lines. Sometimes you may have to wait for two hours or so.
- Book your hotel early, sometimes a year in advance, as the area will likely buzz, and accommodations will fill up quickly. The closer the hotel, the better, since you'll be waking up early and won't want to spend time on the commute. It's also nice to be nearby, as you can return several times daily to drop something off.
- If you can't attend in person, Salesforce Plus has you covered. Watch all the activities online and stay connected to the Trailblazer Community.
- Prepare to pass your free Salesforce certification. Get the Most from Dreamforce: Just Choose Your Subject.
- Unwind from learning sessions. Choose and register for the partner party you like, and have fun.
